ABOUT THE PROGRAM
CEEJH is about supporting residents impacted by environmental and climate injustice and INpowering communities to address environmental health disparities through science, advocacy, and action. Last year, the 7th annual symposium saw 40 sessions, more than 100 speakers, and 1500 registrants. Dr. Cecilia Martinez, former Senior Director for Environmental Justice for the White House’s Council for Environmental Quality (CEQ), and Dr. Wilson delivered keynote addresses. This year, our Symposium’s theme is Energy vs Power: Visions for the Future, highlighting energy justice and the use of technology in environmental justice work. As usual, we will reprise our regular sessions and have discussions on food sovereignty, healthcare access, community science, EJ tools, climate justice, law and policy, and other environmental justice and related health disparity topics.
