Sharing your time and resources with the Food Council benefits both you and your community and environment! There are a wide variety of options for supporting your local food system to fit any level of availability, as well as opportunities for all ages. The Food Council is able to provide SSL hours for Montgomery County students.

Support our efforts to develop a local, sustainable, more robust food system in Montgomery County. Donations directly fund our staffing and operating costs, enabling us to maintain long-term programs and sustained efforts connecting strategic partners.

Provide hands-on support to our partner organizations who are actively engaged at all levels of the food system. Bring your friends and family, office mates or community group, to contribute to your community, earn SSL hours, and make an immediate impact locally.
> Join a Working Group
The work of the Food Council is accomplished primarily through its four Working Groups, which meet monthly. Anyone is invited to join the Working Groups; public participation in our working groups is essential for our success and we welcome all volunteers to join our effort.
> Apply to Become a Food Council Member
Members meet bi-monthly to guide the activities of the Food Council and discuss policies and broader issues that impact our overall food system. Council Members are selected through an annual application process.
