The Montgomery County Food Council, Department of Health and Human Services, East County Regional Service Center, Volunteer Center and Food Security Task Force have collaborated to create a Food Distribution and Volunteer Management Toolkit, comprising a checklist for the organization and logistical management of Grab and Go or Pop Up food distribution events, an abridged document aimed at food assistance providers to describe best practices in the management of volunteers who are making home deliveries of food, and a longer report on Task Force activities outlining volunteer management best practices and food/basic needs assistance referrals during COVID-19.
