Too many of our neighbors are struggling to put healthy food on the table, but the Montgomery County Food Council is working to change that. We are connecting residents with nutrition benefits and emergency food resources, helping farmers adopt climate-smart practices, reducing food waste, and strengthening local food businesses to build a more sustainable and resilient food system.

We can’t do this work alone – it depends on community support. Your donation powers lasting change and ensures that every Montgomery County resident has access to nutritious food and a thriving local food economy.

A receipt for your contribution will be provided for tax purposes.

Prefer to donate by check? Please make it payable to Montgomery County Food Council and send it to:

Your contribution directly strengthens our local food system by helping to:

  • Connect residents with SNAP benefits, emergency food resources, and other essential services.
  • Equip food pantries to operate safely, effectively, and sustainably through training in food safety, emergency preparedness, and financial management.
  • Support local farms in expanding access to fresh, locally produced food and building long-term resilience through climate-smart agriculture.
  • Reduce food waste and recover surplus edible food to nourish community members experiencing food insecurity.
  • Empower community members with advocacy skills and connections that drive lasting, positive change.
