July Equitable Land Access Working Group

Jul 9

Join us for our next working group Tuesday, July 9 at 11am-12pm!

Learn about farm incubator programs from Jennifer Hashley, Director of the New Entry Sustainable Farming Project at the National Incubator Farm Training Initiative (NIFTI). She will present key benefits, different models and types of farm incubator programs, key partners and resources, and considerations for projects at the planning stages. A discussion will follow to explore incubator farm concepts and initiatives here in Montgomery County. The National Incubator Farm Training Initiative (NIFTI) supports the development and enhancement of farm incubator projects across the United States. It provides resources, technical assistance, and a community of practice to help new farmers gain the skills and knowledge needed for successful farming enterprises. NIFTI focuses on sustainable agriculture practices and often assists underrepresented groups, including immigrants and refugees, to start and maintain their own farms. By fostering these incubator farms, NIFTI aims to strengthen local food systems and promote food security. Don’t miss this informative session. Register below!
