Join Montgomery County Food Council’s Local Food Procurement Working Group as we tour University of Maryland’s Dining Services operations. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the University of Maryland’s Dining Services procurement methods for local fresh fruits and vegetables. This includes insights into their utilization of the Certified Local Farm and Fish Enterprise Program, their student farm, and other innovative strategies aimed at promoting local food in cafeterias. Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss and exchange best practices in local food procurement. This includes exploring how similar strategies could be implemented or adapted within other institutions or community settings, fostering collaboration and learning across different sectors.
We will also have many opportunities for discussion, collaboration, networking, and even, fun! Spots are limited so register today!

- Tour the Campus Food Pantry
- Tour Yahentamitsi Dining Hall
